Smuckers the dog dug up a Purple Heart years ago in his back yard in Denver, Colorado. Through the help of organization, Purple Hearts Reunited, the owner of Smuckers was able to reunite the Purple Heart with the family of the soldier it belonged to. Smuckers proudly wears his ribbon at the ceremony at Fort Logan Cemetery in May of 2015.
